Panama: Casa de la Esperanza

Casa de La Esperenza is a non-profit organization that was founded in the United States in 2011. The initial goal of the founder was not to begin a coalition building organization, but to create an organization that would provide a safe haven to victims. However, it has become evident that not only is safe haven critical, there is also an emergent need to facilitate anti-trafficking coalition building, educational outreach, and collaboration with other national and international organizations in the global fight against human trafficking.

Mission Statement:

The mission of Casa de la Esperenza is to work toward the elimination of trafficking in persons, especially women and children trafficked for the purpose of forced labor and in particular sexual exploitation.

Statement of Faith

Casa de la Esperenza is founded on the Bible, the inerrant, true Word of God. The culture that we want to cultivate is one which is an outgrowth of Psalm 126.
1 When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy. 4 Restore our fortunes, Lord,
	   like streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
6 Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
	carrying sheaves with them. (NIV)
We have begun the work that has been placed before us through beginning a project of education, mobilization and influence in The Republic of Panama. We are convinced that there is wealth hidden in the soil of the poor and broken but injustice keeps it from them. We want to use our authority and stand on their behalf in places of influence in society and intercede and pray for the breaking of that injustice. We believe that want to have dignity and purpose and that the people of God need to step-up with wisdom, dreams, plans, and vision from to break the cycle. It's bigger than you and me and programs and ministries, but we believe that at the end of all things we need to be a blessing; no matter how big or small. We invite you to partner with us to restore hope, dignity and love to the broken and hurting. If you want more information please contact us at jjacklaw@gmail.com
